Akhir CruiseCrociere in Costiera

Privacy policy

This page explains, in plain words, which personal data we use when you visit this website, write to us or book a cruise, why, and what your rights are under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Last updated: 15 October 2026

01Who is responsible

The data controller is Akhir Cruise, Via Porto 39, 84121 Salerno. You can reach us at rucco@libero.it or +39 335 527 2534.

02When you book a cruise

Bookings on this website are made through Bókun, our online booking system. We receive your name, email address and phone number, the number of guests, and your answers to the booking questions (for example the children's ages). Card payments are handled by Bókun's payment provider: we never see or store your card details.

We use these data to manage your booking, contact you about it (including the confirmation of a shared cruise and any change due to the weather) and keep the records the law requires. Legal basis: the contract with you (GDPR art. 6(1)(b)) and our legal obligations (art. 6(1)(c)).

If you tell us about food allergies or a health matter so that we can look after you on board, we use it only for that purpose and only because you chose to give it to us (art. 9(2)(a)).

If you book through an online agency (such as GetYourGuide or Viator), that agency shares your booking details with us and its own privacy policy also applies.

03When you write to us

The forms on our contact page do not send or store anything on this website: they write your request out and open WhatsApp or your email app, and the message only reaches us when you press send. We then use your details to answer you and, if you ask, to prepare a quote. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before a contract (art. 6(1)(b)).

Messages on WhatsApp are also processed by WhatsApp (Meta) under its own terms, and emails by our email provider.

04When you visit this website

The website is hosted by Vercel. Like any web server, it records technical data for security and to keep the site running (such as the IP address, the browser and the page requested). Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a safe, working website (art. 6(1)(f)).

To count visits we use Vercel Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and records page views anonymously: it doesn't identify you, and the temporary code that distinguishes one visit from another is discarded after 24 hours.

The website's fonts are served from this site, not from Google. For cookies, see our Cookie policy.

05Who else handles your data

  • Bókun (Bókun ehf., Iceland, in the European Economic Area): the booking system and its payment provider.
  • Vercel (Vercel Inc., United States): website hosting and anonymous visit statistics.
  • WhatsApp (Meta) and our email provider, when you write to us.
  • Our accountant and the authorities, where the law requires it.

Where data leave the European Economic Area, this happens with the safeguards the GDPR requires (for example the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses). We never sell your data and we don't send newsletters or advertising.

06How long we keep data

Booking and payment records are kept for 10 years, as Italian law requires for accounting records (Civil Code, art. 2220). Enquiries are kept for as long as needed to answer you and follow up your request. Health information you give us for a cruise is used only for that cruise.

07Your rights

You can ask us at any time to see the data we hold about you, correct or delete them, limit or object to their use, or receive them in a portable format, and you can withdraw a consent you gave (GDPR arts. 15–22). Write to rucco@libero.it.

If you think we have not respected your rights, you can complain to the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (garanteprivacy.it).
