About Akhir Cruise

What is Akhir Cruise?

Akhir Cruise (Crociere in Costiera) is a family yacht charter business from Salerno, Italy, founded in 2012. It offers private cruises with skipper and hostess on four classic Italian yachts: the Amalfi Coast from Salerno, the Cilento coast from Acciaroli, Sperlonga, Gaeta and Ponza from Formia, and the Aeolian Islands from Portorosa in Sicily.

Why is it called Akhir Cruise?

After the Akhir, a classic motor yacht model built by the Cantieri di Pisa shipyard. Antonella IV, the company's first yacht, is an Akhir 16.60 designed in 1974 by the architect Pierluigi Spadolini, and Nikole K is an Akhir 22.

Where is Akhir Cruise based?

In Salerno, at Via Porto 39, on the Amalfi Coast. The yachts sail from four ports: Salerno, Acciaroli, Formia and Marina di Portorosa in Sicily.

How can I contact Akhir Cruise?

On WhatsApp or by phone at +39 335 527 2534, or by email at rucco@libero.it. We answer in Italian and English.

Prices and booking

Is the price per person?

For a private cruise, no: the price is for the whole yacht with its crew, the same for two guests or a full boat (up to 10 guests on Antonella IV and up to 12 on Nikole K, Princess Giusy and Dea Tuda). On Nikole K, Princess Giusy and Dea Tuda you can also book a seat on a shared day cruise, priced per person from €310.

Is fuel included?

Yes. The prices on this site already include fuel: it is added automatically when you book, so the price you see is the price you pay for the yacht, and nothing is collected at the pier.

What is included in the price?

The whole yacht for your group, the crew of two (skipper and hostess), fuel, the use of the cabins, bathrooms, saloon and flybridge, and the tender. Each cruise page lists exactly what is and is not included.

How do I book and pay?

Choose a yacht, an option and a date on its cruise page, then pay online by card. The booking is confirmed straight away. For a question first, write to us on WhatsApp.

Are there any other costs?

Only what you choose: food and drinks (unless you add meals or brunch on board), lunch ashore, a harbour mooring if you want to stop in a port, and gratuities if you wish. On Dea Tuda's longer charters, a marina berth (about €300 a night in high season, charged at cost) applies only on nights spent in a harbour instead of at anchor.

On board

Can we eat on board?

Yes. On Antonella IV you can add brunch with drinks when you book (€20 per guest); on Dea Tuda, breakfast and lunch (€60 per guest a day) or full board (€90 per guest a day). On Princess Giusy, meals are arranged on request.

Are children welcome?

Yes. Please tell us their ages when you book, so the right life jackets are on board.

What should we bring?

Swimwear, sun cream, sunglasses, a hat and soft-soled shoes for the deck. For a charter of several days, a soft bag rather than a hard suitcase.

Can we choose the route?

Yes, within the option you book: more swimming, a longer stop, or more time doing nothing on deck. The captain may change the order of stops for the sea and the weather, for your safety and comfort.

Do we sleep on board on the longer cruises?

Yes. On the two-, three- and seven-day options you sleep in the yacht's own cabins, at anchor or in port depending on the route and the sea.

Weather and departure

What happens if the weather is bad?

If the captain cancels for sea or weather conditions, you choose: a new date or a full refund.

Where and when do we board?

Boarding is at 11:00. Antonella IV leaves from Pontili Ventura, Via Porto 47, Salerno; Nikole K from the port of Acciaroli; Princess Giusy from the port of Formia; Dea Tuda from Marina di Portorosa in Sicily.

How do we get to the port?

Salerno's port is a short walk from the city centre and the train station. Formia-Gaeta station is about an hour by train from Rome Termini. Acciaroli is about 75 km south of Salerno, and Portorosa about 150 km from Catania airport.

Is the yacht accessible?

Boarding is by gangway (electric on Nikole K and Princess Giusy), and moving around a yacht involves steps. If anyone in your group has limited mobility, write to us before booking and we will tell you honestly what is possible.
